Donating and fundraising
Making a donation or offering assistance
with fund raising will directly contribute to planting and caring for
trees in Dallas. Funds will be utilized solely to complete projects,
provide education and information about the urban forest, as well as
conduct training. Funds will be utilized where the greatest outcome can
be achieved and accomplishments completed. Volunteers, partnerships, and
material donations will be coupled with funds to leverage the maximum
benefit possible.
The Urban Forest Advisory Committee is composed of volunteers who are
professionals, business owners, and advocates in the field of urban
forestry. The Committee created a strategic plan to guide the
application of funding and resources (more information). General
donations to complete high priority projects are preferred; however,
donations can be earmarked for a specific objective such as planting
trees, forest inventory/assessment, tree care and maintenance, or
education/training.
Urban Forest advisory Committee meetings
are open to the public and occur the first Tuesday of each month at 4:00
pm in the Park Board Meeting room in Suite 6FN of Dallas City Hall,
unless it is a holiday. Volunteers, advisors, and advocates are welcomed
to participate in any activity.
